Hassan was born and raised in Chi-town, a true city of music. Ironically he grew up with no outlet for musical expression but remembers always creating songs in his head. Unable to pursue his musical impulses directly he fell in love with dancing. Years later an astrologer asked him if he was a musician.
When he said no she burst into hysterics. She refused to believe it because the stars all pointed to him making music. He confessed his long buried passion then promised to pursue his lost dream just so she would calm down.
Keeping to his word he started making tracks and remixing songs whenever his feet were too tired to dance. Within a matter of moments of banging out his first few beats he realized he had found true love...(again).

Hassan's message is simple DO YOU. His Music & choreography is about him doing him, taking risks, creating pieces that expresses his mode on that day in that moment.
He wants to inspire others to do the same whatever they are into. His creativity reminds us that the word original doesn't necessarily mean new. It just means originating from your own soul. So if you experience enough of his work you'll start to say hey "that's a Hassan" because you can feel him in it, following his inner voice stay true to his Hflow.

Hassan's flow of creativity is rooted in his life as a movement artist. He is an award winning dancer,choreographer and director with over 15 years of experience performing, creating and teaching movement. As a performer he has worked with Pop icons like Shakira, Usher, Britteny Spears, Mary J Blige & Master P in addition to choreographing for Film & Television.He was recently featured as a guest choreographer on the Comedy Central Naked Trucker & T-Bone Show. Hassan is most know however for the innovative storytelling and choreography that fuels his original productions for stage and screen. He is the creative visionary behind his award winning Company of Strangers and his most recent project The Soul Thrive Collective. Hassan recently won an NAACP award for best choreography and in 2004 won the distinguished Lester Horton Award for Innovation which is fitting because people who listen to Hassan's music tend to be like him; trailblazers and pioneers who refuse to walk the beaten path.

He also hosts an art party every last Sunday of the month called Truth, Lies & Dancing: The Day of Restlessness.
